busy baby boy...

yikes! it's been TWO weeks since my last post - i am so sorry! it's a busy life being 10 months old... but i'll try to catch you up on all the things i've been doing in a hurry. if you like pictures of me, then you're going to like this post a lot...

first, i had a great visit with mimsie and grandpa - yea!! :) i sure do like them... here we are outside of a restaurant that i really like. i love all kinds of bread, and i got to eat a croissant there - yum!

and here i am laughing as i lean back in the highchair. i started doing that lately and it's pretty fun... :)

back at our house, i showed them how i can push my airplane from behind as i practice walking... i'm not sure if you can tell or not, but i like attention and approbation...

we had a great visit and i can't wait to see them again in just a few days for thanksgiving!

otherwise, i still love to stand up and scoot along furniture. i climb up anything that looks sturdy enough for me, and even things that aren't so sturdy... for example, the 5-foot screen in our front room that holds a collage of mommy and daddy's wedding pictures is not sturdy enough for me to stand on. the outside (and inside) of my crib, however, is...

here are some other pictures of me playing around. i still love those door-stoppers - here i am in my too-long pj's, chewing on the end as i crunch down real low to the ground after sneaking up on it...

my favorite thing lately has got to be climbing the stairs! i did it all by myself, all the way up, for the first time last week. that is so much fun! but it is quite a workout...

i also like to clap for myself a lot. i clap when mommy says i am a good boy and she's clapping too... and i clap when i'm doing something that i like or having fun with a toy... i also clap just in general for added cuteness. (no picture of this, but you can imagine...)

i also love to play outside in the grass. here i am in our flowerless bed, which i walked all the way around while holding onto the bricks.

and here i am playing in a bush. leaves are good.

and here's my bum in the tub. i'm not supposed to get the faucet, but sometimes i can't help myself. why do they make it so fun if little kids aren't supposed to play with it? it's shiny, it has a lever to pull up and down, and it sticks out at just the right height...

okay, whew! this is enough for now, but i will try really hard to update again soon because there's more to tell! we went to the ranch last weekend and i played with some of my cousins, and there are other fun things to tell you about too, so check back again soon! and less than one month until we get to go to indiana for christmas and see all of our family and friends there - YES!! can't wait!! bye!

ready for take-off...

hello! first order of business - no more tears over my last post (you know who you are). i am still perfect and should have no consequences whatsoever related to the heart murmur. see all these smiles? i am great! :) i am, however, still missing my relatives, and so i've decided to take matters into my own hands. my uncle scott is a pilot and flies around the country all the time, so i thought, "why don't i just do that?" seems easy enough. so daddy bought me an airplane and i'm ready to go!


first, i'll be flying to indiana to see all those hoosiers, then i will definitely stop in NC afterwards, and i may even stop in at disney world if i have time. i have my pilot's outfit and am almost ready, but first i need to do some pre-flight checks...

everything looks good, so i'm ready for take-off! see you guys soon! based on the mileage i get in this thing, plus stops for gas and bottles, i should make it there by december 24. :)

oh, just kidding! i can't leave mommy! who would help her with the plumbing?

but i am ready for winter and am definitely ready for christmas! see - here's my hat and mittens! i realize the mittens are actually supposed to go on my hands, but we didn't cut the tags off yet since i love playing with taggies so much. :)

well, i guess that's all for now. i better go - i have some texting to do... that should keep me busy while i count down until friday - when mimsie and grandpa come to visit!! yea!!! i am SO excited to see them and i hope they remember me... we will have so much fun... :)

deep in the heart of be-en...

cool, huh?! so... i've had a heart murmur since i was born and our doctor (his name is dr. booker, but i call him dr. booger) said it was probably not a problem, but we needed to get it checked out by a pediatric cardiologist just to be sure. and so we did, and yes, i'm just fine! still perfect, actually (don't worry, beamee or mimsie!). :) the cardiologist was pretty cool! they took my blood pressure with a tiny little cuff and then hooked me up to an EKG and my heart made a cool design on paper. i was a good boy and didn't fuss or cry or anything. anyway, i can still play football and everything, so it's no big deal.

here's me looking at one of the nurses and wondering what on earth she was doing. they needed me to stay real still and quiet, and so they were making weird faces and noises to entertain me, but mostly i just thought they were weird.

in other news, my hair is getting longer and it's even starting to curl up on the ends a little bit! mommy hasn't cut it yet, but it may be time before long. but she really thinks it's cute with little curls, especially after the bath or when it's hot outside (which is still everyday!). i obviously don't really care but love to humor mommy for some good pictures. :)

and here i am going after that legendary camera string again. it's there in the grass if you look real hard. it definitely caught my eye and i was after it instantly, not letting mommy get in my way (that's her leg i'm climbing over).

here's daddy and me the other day in matching outfits... we both like blue a lot...

things are still going well. i miss all of my relatives SO much and it seems like a majillion years since i've seen everyone. hopefully we will get some visitors soon (hint, hint). here's a picture of me looking really cute - doesn't anyone want to come play with me??

i really love to pull up on things, climb over things, scoot under things, and drool into things. prepositions are my favorite part of speech these days. i'm sure there's other new things going on, but i can't think of anything right now. so i'm going to get back to that dishwasher... what a great toy...
