spring is here again (finally!)...

i don't know what happened to global warming but it's actually been cold here again! we've had a few days so far of really nice, warm weather, but we've still been having really chilly days too and not much shorts-wearing... but, i know spring is here because 1) it's still light outside when mom makes me go to bed, and 2) we took our wagon to the park for a picnic lunch!

and i am starting to really like swinging on a big swing (both on my bottom and on my tummy!)...

here are a couple silly pictures of me in the car, which momma always likes to take (especially since she almost always rides in the back with me, at my request, although i guess that won't last long once the baby comes!)...

still sporting the blue sunglasses from TWO summers ago! :)

last week, uncle scott had a long layover in san antonio, so daddy played hookie from work and we got to hang out with him for the day! that was super fun, although i did wonder where aunt elaina, lauren, and taylor were...

we got to ride a bus around town a bit, which of course, i loved!

and here's a picture of me being very serious and somber while eating my first (tiny) bag of candy from a candy store in the mall. i got to help pick out a few favorite treats, which i thought was super cool (not that the picture would reflect that, however)...

and also last week on friday we went to the county fair! technically, it was the austin rodeo, but i have a book about the county fair that i like to read a lot, so that's what we called it. it was pretty fun! we went to a petting zoo, which i actually wasn't so sure about, and we got to watch a cow being milked! we saw quite a few animals and also ate a lot of yummy food! momma's favorite was a deep-fried pineapple (yes, she ate something deep fried, but she thought it wasn't too bad since it was a piece of fresh fruit, and she wants everyone to know that it was probably the best deep-fried anything she's ever eaten and you should definitely try one yourself if you are ever presented with the opportunity!). my favorite, however, was the ice cream truck!!! here i am making a bee-line for it (you might note that it's the exact same one that used to come by our house last fall, which i thought was totally cool)...

i also got to sit in a real digger - cool!

and here i am looking under a little bridge for a troll... (honestly, you never know where there might be one lurking, just like in the three billy goats gruff!)...

i also got to ride the carousel, which was definitely my favorite part! this was my second ride on one, and i really think these are cool!

back at home we've been enjoying time in the backyard and just hanging out as a little family. as you may know, daddy likes to golf, and i like to be just like daddy, so he bought me my own special, ben-sized golf club a few weeks ago (i forget if i've mentioned that in a blog yet or not). it is very special, and here i am practicing with daddy a few days ago...

i also like to make silly faces a lot, and here's one that i've been doing lately, where i kind of roll my eyes out to the side... maybe you have to see it in person, but mommy thinks it's pretty hilarious!

i keep talking a lot and am forming new phrases and sentences on my own now. i still have some stubborn streaks, which i would like to point out is clearly not my fault since i got two helpings of stubborn from my parents! but i get an occasional time-out now, and i usually learn my lesson.
i'm a very good eater and love the fresh fruit we're getting more of now. i love books, even though sometimes i only like to look at the pages instead of having momma read. i like to color with crayons, drink from water fountains, go on walks around the neighborhood, and dance. i don't like to ride in my stroller anymore, and i don't like to sit still in the waiting room at momma's doctor appointments. all in all, life is good. i'm not entirely sure about all this baby stuff, but i know mom's belly sure is big so something must be happening in there! i'm supposed to put some pictures up here of her, and i apologize for not really doing that this time, but i really will try to next time. thanks for stopping by!! :)
