hook 'em...

hello again! well, football season is moving right along and i've become quite a fan of the UT longhorns! actually, if the truth is to be told, i like them just because daddy likes them and i LOVE wearing my longhorn clothes, because that's what daddy wears (a lot of the time). when mommy is getting me dressed, if i see an orange shirt in my closet, i say "dada" and she knows that means i want to wear it! on a somewhat related note, here i am riding in the car the other day (sporting said longhorn shirt), and just being silly...

yet another silly car picture... i love wearing hats and putting all kinds of things on my head!!

the silliness continues... this time i fell off my airplane and was having a giggle fit on the floor...

back to the longhorns again, these are horns that mommy's friend, ashlee, got for daddy's truck. it turns out they look pretty cute on little boys too...

a few weeks ago we had a visit from my cousins, gracie and wyatt, aunt jeri, uncle adam, and uncle jeremie for a big football weekend. here we (the kids) are at the park. not a very exciting picture, but i wanted to include it because we had a fun time - and i especially like uncle jeremie!

since i'm getting to be a big boy, mommy has been letting me help her in the kitchen, and i really like that because i get to help make a mess without getting in trouble! here we are making biscuits on saturday morning...
and here i am helping make - and taste! - apple bread...

also - i got my first (and last) haircut at a kids "salon." mommy has been cutting it all along with a scissors, but it was time for a real cut with clippers. she wanted to watch "the pros" do it first and also wanted someone else to blame in case it went terribly wrong! well, it was pretty much the worst thing that's ever happened to me, so there are no pictures of the haircut itself. and i'll just have her cut it herself from now on. but i did get a good haircut in the midst of all the screaming and crying and it's definitely short in the back now! not sure if you can tell that much from the pictures, but now it's nice and trim, like daddy's! :)

goofy picture...
sometimes we go on family walks in the evenings, and here we are one day. nothing especially significant happened, but mommy took pictures, because that's what she does. and i'm sporting yet another orange shirt, so i thought i would include them... (and mommy said i look silly in these clothes because the shirt is too big and the pants are too short, but she's glad i'm a boy because then none of that even matters!)

playing with the leaves... i actually stopped and did this for at least 10 minutes in this same spot... throwing the leaves off the curb and bending over to pick them up and put them back on the sidewalk again...
ooh! here i am building a tower with duplo blocks! i really like playing with these and am getting pretty good at connecting them all by myself. towers are my favorite thing to build...
this was actually - shocker - during a UT football game - and here's mommy and i having a little kiss... i love her...

um, other things going on: i'm getting pretty good at naming colors! i definitely know and can say red, orange, and blue. i also kind of know yellow and green but can't say them as well. and if i don't know for sure what color something in, i just declare confidently, "red!" and at least i have some chance of being right! i still LOVE to read books, especially the same ones over and over. going to the library is one of my favorite things to do. my collar bone is pretty much healed and i don't even complain about my "neck" anymore! it's been raining like crazy lately, and playing in the puddles is super fun. i'm getting a little better at trying and eating new foods, but i'm still quite moody and will give mommy a hard time about eating every once in a while just for good measure. i love cereal with milk and fruit and cheese and sometimes now i will eat pasta. okay, that's all for now. here are some more pictures of me in my favorite shirt - my longhorns "jacket" with a built-in "hat!" :)
